After more than 40 years of experimentation, innovation and excellence, artist Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry has earned her reputation as an icon. She received her first major award in 1986 and quickly gained international renown for her fine-art quilts. A remarkably prolific artist, her quilts are distinctive for their complex designs, luminous colors, and illusions of light, depth and motion. Her work is in museums, public institutions, and corporate and private collections across the United States and in several foreign countries. In Reflections of Light, the NEQM is proud to exhibit fifty of Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry’s extraordinary quilts, many of which are recent works.
